It was nauseating and many passengers were commenting. He also stepped on the gas and let up off the gas every 10 seconds. He then drove 61 MPH in a 75 MPH zone and there was very little traffic. He was 20 minutes late and was painfully slow in taking attendance, knowing we were late. I gave them every opportunity to right a wrong, and they didn't even have the decency to follow up to my requests to rectify the situation. This negative review was EARNED by Salt Lake Express. This has definitely been the worst experience I have ever had with a shuttle company and I am appalled that not one employee involved took ownership of the problem, apologized, or displayed any empathy whatsoever. I was unable to work today due to extreme fatigue. Thank goodness I had my own car waiting for me - if I had a loved one picking me up then another person would also have been extremely inconvenienced. Almost 4 hours later than my initial scheduled arrival at 12:25 am. He drove on the rumble strips multiple times, and accelerated and braked in a very jerky manner.Īccording to the schedule we should have arrived at Hampton Inn Sun River at 3 am - I arrived at 4:15 am. No rhyme or reason for unloading and loading luggage, checking people in, etc.
#Salt lake express airport shuttle driver
When the 11:55 pm bus finally arrived, the driver was slow and disorganized. She never apologized for the inconvenience or accepted any responsibility on behalf of Salt Lake Express for my issue. After explaining my situation and giving my ticket number, I was told “I can give you a refund or I can put you on the next bus” and “We weren’t oversold but maybe he brought a smaller vehicle” ? And then “it’s just like the airlines, sometimes they oversell” (after she just said they didn’t oversell) so I told her when I get bumped from a flight at least I get $100 for my trouble. I attempted to call the shuttle office 4 times before someone in customer service finally answered. He did not apologize, or offer to call the shuttle office and have me added to the 11 pm shuttle itinerary. I was informed by the driver that the shuttle was “overbooked” and I could “probably” get on the next shuttle at 11 pm. I arrived at 9:10 pm for my 9:15 pm scheduled shuttle. I literally had the worst travel experience of my life with Salt Lake Express. I hope this feedback promotes Salt Lake Express to be more safety conscious for its customers and the SLC community. Throughout the day, including while waiting for the shuttle and riding in it, I received several emergency alerts on my phone about rising COVID numbers in Utah. The driver also didn’t address another customer who wore her mask under her nose, which obviously is unsafe. It was incredibly disappointing that the driver wouldn’t wear his mask in such a confined space.

He would put it on when he got out, walked around the van, and then opened the door to customers. The driver did not wear his mask while in the shuttle. My main concern and I why I’m writing this review about Salt Lake Express relates to safety. The shuttle was on time and clean and the driver was friendly. She appreciated the feedback and said she’d elevate it for future customers. I appreciated the friendly woman I talked with on the phone to help me find the airport pickup spot, as that wasn’t clear on the reservation email. I used the shuttle on Friday, October 30th.
